Project Overview
Vision Walks run guided eco‑tours in the Byron hinterland. Their legacy WordPress site was bloated with plug‑ins, painfully slow (particularly for international visitors) and hard to update—costing them bookings and search visibility.
The Bottlenecks
- Sluggish pages – large images and heavy plug‑in use.
- Awkward CMS – a tangle of WordPress extensions made new content a chore.
- Mobile friction – key actions were buried on small screens.

My Approach
Re‑imagine the look
- Collaborate with graphic designers to produce high‑fidelity Figma concepts that captured the brand’s outdoor look and feel.

Rebuild in Webflow
- Replaced WordPress with a custom Webflow build.
- Structured collections for tours and blog posts so the team can add content in minutes.
Results
| KPI | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Largest Contentful Paint | 5.5 s | 1.4 s |
| PageSpeed score | 38/100 | 96/100 |

- Smoother UX – simpler navigation and responsive layouts creating a friendly user experience.
- Faster load time - reducing user bounce rates.
- Easier upkeep – adding a new tour or blog now takes minutes, not hours.
